4th of July 2007... or 2008, can't remember...

I just found these pictures and videos not too long ago on my flash drive and thought, "Why don't I put these on the blog so that everyone can enjoy them?" I think this was my first or second shooting experience. This is right when Michael got his new .40 and 30-06. Sorry in advance for the poor quality, it was taken on my phone. Videos are first and the pictures are at the bottom of this post.

Brushing Her Teeth

Hey All,

I think we are going to rename this "The Chelsea Video Blog." Chelsea has started to brush her own teeth! It is incredibly cute to see her standing on her stool in front of the sink and rinse her toothbrush. And of course, we have a video of it!

A Happy Nomination

Guess what! I received a call today from my last professor informing me that Kristin Gilger, the Assistant Dean of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, is submitting my story on Donna Hatch in a Hearst writing competition. This is kind of a big deal for a few reasons. The first is that ASU can only choose two publications to submit, so it is an honor just to be submitted. The second is because the Hearst Journalism Award Program is the biggest or one of the biggest competitions in the nation, so if I place in the top 10, that really says something. The additional benefit is money. The top 10 winners receive money. Another one of my classmates placed in the In-Depth competition which gives me a little hope since we were guided by the same professor. I am being entered in the profile competition, so pray for me.

Here is a link to the story if you want to see it.
